The Microelectronics Design Initiative is based on the following four key areas: a strong network as a central exchange platform, training and further education for talented individuals and skilled workers, the implementation of joint research projects to strengthen design capabilities, and the expansion and strengthening of research structures. The Chip Design Germany network is a platform in Germany for pre-competitive, open exchange between all stakeholders involved in chip design. The aim is to develop suitable cooperation structures, consulting services for start-ups and SMEs, and new business models.
